Calls home phone (landline) and asks for name that appears in phone book by name. When told this person is not available, he attempts to get cell phone #. Since caller would not identify himself I refused to give out cell phone he was requesting. At that point he became rude and actually made threats against my life. I hung up & he called back. I searched the number & it is originating in Riverside, CA. It is a verizon mobile #. I reported incident to verizon. Weird thing is that when phone rings it comes up a different # on caller ID (although still in 951 area code). After call it changes to this # on caller ID. Verizon said they have received a few similar like complaints, and that "whoever" has an app or software to disguise caller ID. Watch for calls from 951 area code trying to get cell phone #'s. If threatening, consider reporting to police.

Received a call from this number asking for name listed in phone book. Noticed the area code was from CA. Caller was a male and sounded African American. He asked for my husband. Wasn't here at the time. Asked if he had his cell phone with him. Then said he was returning his call and needed his cell phone number. I asked his what this was regards to. He said he was in the city we were located in. I said if he was returning his call then he should have his number. He became rude and told me to 'listen to him young lady'. I told him I would not give a cell phone number out to someone I don't know who won't tell me the nature of the call. He was yelling at me but I was yelling louder and didn't hear if he was threatening me. Then I hung up.
I was not at home to receive the phone call from this number, but checked the phone message that was left. The message was "laughter" and did not feel the humor. I do not wish anyone bad luck, but if this person is looking for trouble, he will probably end up on the receiving end.
