My call talked about the American Recovery Act, bla, bla, bla. Very annoying to get these calls on my cell phone, which I keep private. Again, I track all these calls in a database, in case they check your site, which they won't.
One time I called my internet provider to pay my bill because I got a new card and my auto-pay was declined from the old card. The lady (clearly in India) verified my account and allowed me to pay my bill. She then asked me if I wanted to upgrade my services blah blah blah which I said no to. Here's where it gets weird. She called back and offered me an even better deal which I said no to again. Not even two minutes later the same number called which I didn't answer and called back using a new Google Voice number that I just set up so no one has the number. Same call center answered "Media comm" how can I help you? Ever since that call my Google Voice number has been exploding with phone calls about "Google needs to update my info" as well as "We are calling from Microsoft and your PC is infected" scams.
Basically the call center took my new number and sold it off to a bunch of Indian (dot not feather) call centers. Makes me wonder what other data they have about me that they sell off. I'm only dealing locally from here on out because of this crap.
Idiot called at 10:00am: "Our records indicate that your business..." click, I hung up. Don't these morons have anything better to do? Block the number and they call fro a different one.
