I am receiving threatening calls from this number stating that there is a lawsuit pending against me for payday advances (which is not true). They are threatening to have the police come to my office and arrest me. Will only tell me they are Cash Advance, Inc. but will not give me their names or address to the business. When I give them my attorney's name and number to call, they start screaming obscenities at me and then hanging up. Will call the next day as if they've never spoke to me and start the entire conversation over again. If I could have more information, I would have my attorney send a letter threatening a lawsuit of harrassment and any other pertinent suit that would be substaintial enough to have them stop these phone calls.
these clowns called me at 8:10am EST on sat 5 Jan....its a cali number which means it was about 4 am their time..... I missed the call but they left a voice mail. the voice mail said they were a law firm calling about a law suit filed against me.... they had my last 4 of my social so I got nervous but also thought something didnt sound right... for 1 the man on the phone identified himsefl as "micheal brown" and he clearly was from overseas (india or something) due to his horriable english.... 2 what law firm in cali is conducting business at 4 am on a sat? 3 what law suit that you know of that I do not? and lastly in the voice mail he said to contact him ASAP or as he put it " if you do not contact us... good luck and you will finally get what is about to unfold in front of you" WTF kind of lawyer would leave a message like this???? so naturally I was pissed... I called back after several times I finally get an answer.... the man identifed himself as a lawyer at so n so law firm... i asked him who he was and why was he calling my phone? he was imidiatly rude... he looked up my info with my phone number (strange to me!!) then proceeded to inform me he needs to speak to my lawyer.... ummm what? what lawyer? he said for the law suit filed against you? i asked him what law suit... from whom? he got pissed asked me if i knew about this law suit which i said i dont and i asked again law suit with whom? then he said i kept intrupting him and he told me **** YOU and hung up.... by this time i was really pissed so i called back and he kept ignoring my calls. I am going to contact the general trade commission and file a complaint prob will not do much but this is crazy.... who are these people and how did they get my info.... and what do they want??? i think selling peoples info should be illegal and should be prossicuted to the full extent of the law!!!!!!
I got a call from this same number on January 5th at 2:01 pm, Wisconsin time in Calfornia 2 hours ahead of time, the guy also said I had lawsuit against me, for what?, The guy also sounded like he was from overseas(India or something) due to his horrible english.... and what law firm in California would have a lawsuit against me, he also knew my last four of my Social Security number, and my name as well, I will call the trade commission on Monday as well to complain about these idiots.
I just got a call from a jack willams saying I need to get in contact with him or my attroney because I have a debt or I owe something and he cant speak English and its starting to annoy ne then when .you call back its a beeping noise nobody answers I told them don't call me no more in I don't knew how they got my number
I have been receiveing phone calls from this number stateing that I have a law suite against me. For the past couple of times this number has called I have not answered due to the fact that some of these numbers are telemarkers or scammers. Now, I wish these calles to STOP and if there was any truth to anything that this India or wherever this person is from, I would like something in writting. If it's that important send it in writing.
