ID says "Telcentris, Inc" I don't know who they are or what they want but I've gotten 10 calls in past 48 hrs. There are so many 'processes' or "host task system services'' & ASUS duplicate activities running on my Task Manager including 17 that just say 'chrome.exe' ( & over 60 'taskhost.exe' & no other info) each using different amounts of memory - like 128874 or as little as 357 & nearby another 'process' with a different name will be running with the same amount of unique memory, and increasing at the same time as if mirroring each other, except one says 'system' & the other 'user' & their names (in my task mgr) are far from alike. In the past when my PC is not answering MY commands, I often see "system unresponsive' at top of screen, but so much activity is running in the background maybe it gets too busy with that to respond to me.I just don't know where to find out (without spending money, WHAT ALL THE ACTIVITY IS & if they are duplicated processes....I'm just waiting for a call from that some phony claiming to work at Microsoft & "happened to notice a bunch of errors at their 'main' server". Like someone is sitting at the one & only 'hub' where all MS clients (they picked ME out of how many million, er billion customers?) are filtered so an MS 'tech' knows MY SYSTEM has errors & sent like, an 'S O S' to MS for help!!!
The call will show an ID for something 'techy' giving them legitimacy when they ask for remote access to 'repair' your computer. THEN they ask for money to 'repair' the problem. I was caught twice in the past, & Telcentris sounds very techy. Either way, was it simply a coincidence ??? or do they just continue to call those of us who've been suckered so frequently it SEEMS like they (whoever 'they' be) KNOW when something is 'up' with whatever device I'm using (this one is a rental!) & it doesn't happen when my tablet gets cray cray) I'm just so sick of all these calls. I've blocked the maximum my telephone provider allows (50) maybe i should eliminate the older numbers, possibly its no longer being used??. Obviously, I wouldn't know since I BLOCKED IT.....just got call #3 from this number in past hour. Very persistent, too bad they don't work THAT (THIS?) hard for a legitimate employer!!!
