Why are taxpayers paying for a Federal Telephone Registry and we are still getting all these calls?? Most of my calls are on my mobile phone but I still have a landline for some business reasons. Most of the calls I get are hang-ups, solicitors, sales, Paul from Microsoft or unknown. I am sick of it and the government can't/won't do anything about it.
Perhaps it wasn't a telemarketer. A person needs to return the call to find out. Personally, I do a lot of business on the phone and rarely recognize the phone number of a legitimate returned phone call. I return missed calls as a matter of course in case it's important. I suspect others do as well. Also, the long hold time has become more the norm than not. I don't waste my time while on hold, is simply continue to work on whatever task I am engaged in. Perhaps you haven't learned the art of multi-tasking. Oh well.
