A local area code called daily for several calls, I said remove me from your call list and the robot (ray creuset) said "okay, goodbye" and hung up. Called several more times from that number and now today, from a new area code that shows up as the same contact as the local area code number that has been calling. The numbers are in my contacts, which leads me to believe this set of numbers has been contacting me prior to this week's calls.
Why are calls from overseas (especially India) allowed to go through with spoofed American Numbers. I would challenge someone to explain why this has any legitimate business use (other than scams) at all.
Since the Government refuses to enforce their do not call laws, is it time for some vigilante action?
And how do you expect the calls from overseas with spoofed American numbers be stopped?
You answered your own question, by the way. You asked "why this has any legitimate business use (other than scams)" and there's your answer. They aren't legitimate, they're scams. Any caller spoofing their number is not legitimate.
