Have received about 3 to 4 calls per months since last years from this number and company saying that they are Global Discovery DGI and that they needed to sent legal documents and if there was going to be someone home. I don't know the person they were looking for and I asked a few times to be taking off their calling list. Nothing has been done.

They also call from 203-302-5996, with a caller ID of GDI, but when you call back to that number,  they say LTS Group.  It appears this GDI is nothing but a DBA of LTS Associates Group.  Most likely this group:

In any event,  both groups have along history of scamming on 800notes.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they are bothering you,

Report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them

I got a call from (951) 402-4254. They said they were looking for B******* H********* who is my brother and lives a couple states away. They gave me a case number and a phone number to call back, (844-358-6192). I told them I can't always get a hold of him and then asked why they were calling and they quickly hung up on me. I then called back the number they called me on and asked for the company and the reason for the call. They blurted out a name so fast I couldn't understand then said they had no information about the case and hung up again after telling me they were sending him a summons if he didn't call back within two hours. So I called back a third and fourth time only to get a recording saying, "The Magic Jack customer you are trying to reach is unavailable." After the fifth time calling in order to get the name of the company they picked up and after the third time she repeated herself, she finally said the company name slow enough that I could understand what she was saying. It was Global Discovery Inc. My brother has some debt in collections so I originally assumed that is what this was about but after the way she hung up so many times, I think it's some sort of scam.

This number called me on my cell phone at 8:13 a.m. on April 30th, and it was a male voice. I happen to live in a very wooded area, so reception sucks. I could hear a bit of static and I was able to make out that they were calling for me, but had no idea who I was due to the horrible pronunciation of my real name.
I know my name is exotic in America, but it's not THAT hard to pronounce. >.>
I told him of my bad reception, that I couldn't hear him, and I asked why he was calling. I could hear him continue to speak, and then ask for me again. I told him, that if he didn't speak up, I wasn't going to be able to hear him correctly.
He very promptly decided to hang up the phone.
