The number called and answer because I just had my car stolen and though it was the local police, this lady sounded professional but when she asked for my birthday. I reply with what is it about and she said she wasn't able to give me that information until I confirm who I was. At that point I raised my voice and told her that unless she told me what it was about I wasn't going to give her my information, or confirm anything. Than she had the audacity to ask she is not asking for personal information. Asking for name and birth is part of information, so then I yelled at her and said if you need me to confirm and give you info you will have to let me know what it is about, she started to explain and her accent came through and I knew I was dealing with a possible phishing scam so I hung on the scammer and block the number from future calls.
Phone I'd says Banning, Ca. I answered waited no one spoke, then I said who is this? Immediately they hung up. Is this a good idea to answer? Not sure, too many hacking, virus and etc. happining in this Era today, don't know which way to go , or what's right way anymore. Just so aggravating. Lease help with advise, only if your not one of "THEM"
