This appeared to be a local call so I made the mistake of answering only to hear the recorded message about medic alert scam for those over 65 and to press 1 to talk to an agent. I pressed one and had a woman answer who then asked who she was talking to. I replied you called me so you should know and she then started the scam pitch. I interrupted her and asked if this was only for those over 65 who are medicare eligible and she said no. Lie number two! I asked her why I get so many calls for this if I am not 60 and why they fake caller ID to make this appear to be a local call when it is not she stated I most likely do not need this and would put my number on the do not call list but before I could verify what number would be blocked she disconnected call. Looks like I can now expect to get a lot more of these scam calls!
