This is a hilarious and ridiculous phishing attempt because of how utterly stupid it is. I really hope that people are not fooled by this. The Caller leaves a recorded message, spoken with a Hemet accent
"This is Officer David Miller from Vita Trpin. The nature and purpose of this call is to let you know, that we have received a legal [unintelligible] notice against you concerning a tax evasion. So before we file a case against you in the courthouse, and before you get arrested, kindly call us back on our callback number. The number to reach me, that is 951-658-4853. I repeat, the number is, 951-658-4853. kindly return de call. [dogs barking in background as it hangs up.]
At no time does the message confirm who the recipient of this warning is supposed to be.
Finally note: The call originates from a MOBILE Carrier and the caller ID simply says "Corona beats teens."
