somebody call to me from this number May 29 around 10 am, asking who called 911, and ask our home address. A few minutes later a policeman knocked my door, asking same questions. But nobody in home call 911. I call this number today, no one answer the phone there.
This number just called me claiming that my telephone number called 911 and hung up. The woman on the line asked me for my name and my address, she then assured me that she would tell the cops and ambulance not to come.
I also received a call from this number, April 27th. The male caller stated my cell phone dialed 911 and he was just calling to make sure I was ok.
How did he know that my CELL phone dialed 911? BTW, my phone did NOT call 911.
He kept asking to make certain that there was no problem, but he did not come off as professional, such as a police officer or dispatch person. He did not ask me for any personal info.
I accidentally dial 911 on my speed dial. I hang up and I also received a call back from the City of Riverside. She ask if everything was okay and then ask for my name only. About 10 mins later a police office showed up at my door. They were double checking to see if everything was fine. This number is very legit.
I did call 911 to report a car accident. My phone got disconnected. This is the local number in Riverside for when your phone disconnects. they call you back to make sure everything is ok. Be glad that they do this. Better safe than sorry.
Some cell phone have a separate emergency call button. Like a Blackberry that is locked, and has a red 'Emergency call' button. . You could have pocket dialed it, and it does not show up on your call log.
