I must be the only person to have gotten a real person. The American female asked for me by name and wanted to know if I was pro-life and would I like to make a donation to some political group. I thanked her waking me up and I don't accept these calls. I mentioned that she needed to give herself a colonoscopy without the scope, too.
I have learned something, large companies that use telemarketing have a computer system that shows an alert "don't call list". What companies are doing now is using remote workers, they work from home. People are paid to go to the court house, look up files on mortgages that been closed, and those ares considered open records, they collect the info and return it to whoever is running the business.
One way to stop this is to set up a system, if someone is looking up records, they must show their ID and give their phone number, that can be verified, and that number is put into a system they will be looking up records, so when they look up records, their name and phone number is attached to every record they look up. And we can go and check and see has looked at our personal info.
