United Healthcare with a messed up robocall. I can't understand why a major company would use such an offensive system. Totally tone-deaf. Bad publicity for United Healthcare. One would think that they would at least use a legitimate caller I.D. rather than "Minneapolis, MN".
Got the call today at l1:52 AM Eastern Time on my personal cell phone and was on the home phone. No VM left and when I tried to call it, the number is busy. I have no idea who this is calling and should not be getting any collection calls. I have had my cell number for four or five years now and I have it listed on the Do Not Call Registry as well. This is the first day I got the call.
I got a call from a woman asking if I had decided to apply for supplemental medicare medical coverage at their sponsered meeting I recently attended. I told her I decided to remain with my current insurance provider. She thanked me and offered me the opportunity to let them know if I were to change my mind in the future.
I recently attended two different meetings and I 'm not absolutely sure which Insurance company she was affiliated with, so I wouldn't want to state the wrong one, but what I can say for sure is that the meetings I attended were both for HMO or PPO medical insurance plans designed for individuals on Medicare, by the March 31st open enrollment period.
I am assuming that the company sells "ALL TYPES" of medical Insurance.
I HOPE THIS MESSAGE HELPS OUT SOMEONE!!!!
I did get a voicemail and it was Very broken up. The caller said they were from NY Family care Insurance Company which is a lig company but the strange thing was that the area code was from 952 which is Minnesota. If they were calling from NJ Family care, why would they be calling from Minnesota?
I just got a phone call from this number. Just to clarify: the number in question is 952-367-2275, NOT 953-367-2275. I had a voice mail from a co-worker and it was from the above number. I work for United Healthcare in Green Bay, WI. The number that shows on the caller ID is for the main corporate office in Minnetonka, MN. I have had many calls before from HR to my home phone or even at work from a United Healthcare office around the country where the number begins with a 952 area code. This is because UHC's mainframe phone system routes through the home office with their new VoIP phones. Most calls will show as a 952 number unless you work in certain offices where you have a direct extension. I hope this helps.
