Who called from 9528545763

I received a text message this evening from the e-mail address [email protected]. This message stated that Wachovia had locked my debit card add prompted me to please call the phone number 952-854-5763. I do not have a banking account or a debit card through this bank so I found this to be very odd and assumed it was a fishing type scam. I called the number to see what i could find out. I reached an automated voice recording asking for me to enter my card number. Its obviously a scam and I am positive that tons of other people are getting the same message either in a text or e-mail. My hope is that no one is fooled by this, these crooks need to get  a job and quit trying to take other peoples hard earned money.

I received the same message. Someone from "Wachovia" called my cell 8 times today-the call came up as UNKNOWN. I never answer unknown numbers but the calls were so frequent. Then the guy on the other end of the line started harassing me, demanding to know my name.....definitely a scam. The text I received was even labeled as SPAM. [***]. Get a real job and do something good for the world.

I received a text message from "[email protected]" with the subject line "SPAM" stating that "Wachovia has deactivated my 'ATM-CARD'. and to please call 1(952)8545763.

I'm going to see how I report it to Sprint.

5 minutes ago,I also received a text message stating that "WachoviaHasDeactivatedYour"ATM-CARD". It came from [email protected]. It also said to call 952-854-5763. The subject line was "SPAM" so I didn't try the number because I don't trust it.

I just got a text message about calling this same number (and I'm a Sprint user).

These fools think that by avoiding talking to people, ie, fully automated process, that they can avoid being found and caught.  Don't they know that the government can easily track down who owns the number and still prosecute them?

I tried entering a couple of bogus card numbers to see if I could get past the prompt but it's got some sort of programming built in to distinguish between legit and fake numbers.  Anyone know of a SEEMINGLY legit number that we can use to get to the next step?  Maybe we can load this scammer up with a few phony numbers to use and possibly even get to a point of talking to someone so we can say, "You've been reported to the FCC, have a bad day!"
