Keeps calling my direct cell number... I have no idea who this is or what they want, but on my cell I have Google Voice and there is a setting to show your Google Voice number in the caller ID when someone is calling your Google Voice number (or you can show the actual caller's number.) This is how I setup my call rejection:
1. Get Google Voice (or any other number that you can forward to your cell phone.)
2. Only give out the Google Voice number to everyone and thing.
3. Download a number whitlisting/blacklisting app, I use an excellent one called "Calls Blacklist".
4. Whitelist only your forwarding number (Google Voice).
5. Blacklist ALL other numbers.
6. Set your Google Voice number to display your Google Voice number when people call (so that Calls Blacklist will allow the calls through.
7. Enjoy not having your phone bother you with crap calls 'cause you know that any call going to the direct cell # will be rejected as it will NOT come from your whitelisted GV (or other) number.
The cool thing about this approach is that while you can't stop spamming to your GV number (but you can block them in GV giving double security layer) you can look at the rejected call blacklist and reject them from the phone, GV and Calls Blacklist. I do not see why that would be necessary unless you are trying to reclaim your direct cell number for some reason, which a lot of people will want.
This is 1 of 92 callers I've had to block since 10/15. NINETY-TWO!!!!! I have participated in on-line surveys and I'm betting that is how my number is sold to everyone from Solar Panel Cos. to Diabetes Monitor Cos. What "Do Not Call Registry"? Just one more government letdown. I've had it !!!!!!
