File a police report. These people have my social. Never asked me to verify anything but my name and after a while they read my social to me, attempting to scare me. They've called my friends, family, and cell over the course of the past 6 months. They will keep calling, but you should just keep reporting to your local police department as it happens. If we all ban together, maybe we'll dismantle the group. Also, lock up all three credit bureaus. I had to. They have my social but they can't use it. Hope this helps.
Nothing you do will stop the calls. A call blocker, however, will block the calls. Your phone has to ring once before it can ID the number. A blocker with "First Ring Suppression" will silence the first ring of every call. This will prevent any ringing when they call again.
If you have Sprint, you can add the number to the blocked calls list at sprint.com once you've logged into your account. Instead of it ringing, the caller just gets a message that you don't take unsolicited calls or something like that and it disconnects them.
I imagine other carriers have the same types of options on their websites.
Received call from collector out of Florida wanting my daughter. Said she owed money. Daughter married to Air Force pilot with four boys and these folks are trying to scam her through us.
I would be happy to address this in person.
