a woman answered and had an accent i can't label. she said she was from fl regional insurance and i responded that i didn't need any insurance. she continued a few seconds with her script and i kindly asked her to remove my name and number from her base. she hung up. i think i will follow up this call later this pm to see if she had indeed removed my number.
To everyone: I suggest buying a Panasonic phone, and then blocking the area codes of every region of the USA from which you do not need to receive calls. You can also block individual numbers, but that is pointless, because these scammers frequently change the faked numbers. It is much more effective to block an entire area code.
I just called back the number 954-654-7522 and a guy by the name of Alex said Oh thank you for calling us back. I asked why are you calling me. He said he is from FL Insurance Group and can save me money on my car and home owners insurance. I said I am good. He said who do you insure with? I said I am good. He said when did you last update your policy. I said 3 weeks ago. and I am good. He said well thank you if you would like us to quote on insurance give us a call back.
