This number must have been hijacked by spoofers. I let this caller go to voicemail. They wanted to verify recent activity on my credit card and to call a different number back, which was actually my bank's member services phone number. Our bank uses a 3rd party to monitor card activity and they call from different out of state numbers. Always confirm with the bank FIRST that the call back number is legit!
call over and over this morning and was a fax sound so i turned on the fax it sent me some credit machine info i called the co. and they didnt know any thing about it???????????????
Missed a call from 954-851-7000 on my cell phone, even though my cell phone number is on the national do not call registry. Now that I see it is a telemarketer, I am angry. Had I answered this call, I would have had to pay for it, as I have pay-as-you-go service.
They called my direct line @ work & stated they were calling to cancel a credit card transaction that one of their merchants had authorized. I attempted several times to tell the man that there is no way he had the correct number.
He finally got the merchant conferenced into the call & I told him our business name. He immediately realized they had the wrong number. They were trying to contact a car rental company.
I answered a call from this number and the lady on the other line asked if it was me. So ofcourse I said yes. But before I had the opportunity to ask what she want, she hung up. I am very suspicious and upset. What if this is some identity fraud strategy?
