There is no reason to call anyone about anything. The law is very clear on what they must do.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
The proper place to report them follows:
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Keep receiving calls from this number. Now they are telling me henry county deputies have been to my house to serve me and they havent. Wont provide any information on supposed debt.
Per my local police department: tell them not to call again or harassment charges will be pressed. If they continue to call, file a police report and document all times they call.
All I did which seemed to make it stop was the following: Answered the call..
"Server" said : I'm just letting you know I'll be by your home or work tomorrow to serve you papers"
Fake law office trying to scare people and their family into paying on an old debt that may or may not be owed. No warrants are going to be issued, and a process server will never call you to tell you when they will be coming...
If you think you owe a debt, contact the original creditor to settle. Do not talk to these people.
