Received call from 970-236-9601 sd to call 888-283-5647 but let it go thru on original # as I knew this was a spam..
Archeleta answered and said they were Standard Mediation out of California.. I told her I was Agent Joe from the FBI -- she immediately asked for my badge # ,... I asked her for hers.. she said by law I had to give her my badge # (why??) I tld her she seems knowledgable in the laws but you broke the FDCPA - said they are not a collection agency -- I said then what type of company are you .. refused.
BE CAREFUL ALL.. They Spoof #'s and will never give you any information about themselves that is correct!
Got a call from this # at 10 pm saying I have a case pending to call that same number the 888 one it's a scam called my sister she's a lawyer she said tell them if the cops are coming my door is open the lady yelled at me and hung up oh well
Spoke to a Rebecca from Standard Medation phone # 970 235 9605, saying that i had a credit card balance that was due and the card was taken out in 2000. I never had a credit card in my life. They wanted the money or they will see me in court. I told them i would see them in court.
Got a call from602-455-1102. Called back the number they gave 888-510-3257 and spoke to a "Taylor Richardson" claiming she was collecting a debt of $2000+ from Standard Mediation Collections on a nonexistent Capitol One card. I told her she is working for a scam company and to take my name off their list and she yelled "Fine we'll be serving a court order good luck!!!" and hung up on me abruptly. This company is a fraud, fake, scam. Don't just end with hanging up on them, they need to be reported as widely as possible across as many consumer protection sites as possible. Total creeps.
