I've been getting these calls on my land line with caller ID "FAV". Guess that's supposed to look like "Foundation for American Veterans" or something like that. Now they've started calling my cell phone. It's now blocked.

These "Phony" charity organizations may give a very small portion of what you donate to the organization they claim to be representing, but they keep most of the money for themselves.

If you want to give to ANY charity - give directly to it, not someone who cold calls you. They are not legit - especially when they won;t even leave a voice mail.
