I got a call from Tammy at this number. She asked me to "verify" my social. Aka give a stranger who called me out of the blue my ssn, not happening. I googled her phone number and came up with this thread which makes me question the validity of her call even more. I called back to see if she could give me the name of her company or anything and she refused. I told her the reason for my concern about her being a legitimate person and she said "I don't care that's your choice" and hung up on me.
Note a scam. Collection company in Fort Collins and office in Rawlins, WY. Company's name is Collection Center. Located South Fort Collins, CO. They handle mostly medical collections. Cindy is a real person there. I DON'T work for them. I have collections through them.
I also have medical collections through this company. It's not a scam. They will work with you on making payments. Main office is located in Rawlins, Wyoming. Cindy is also my contact person there. If they are calling you, you most likely have bills that have gone to collection.
She is still in business. On this day, August 7, 2014, Cindy called a relative of mines this morning inquiring about me. I don't know why she would do something so stupid. No relatives of mine are connected to any debts that I have. I have not moved in 17 years nor have I changed my phone number. I called this Cindy and spoke directly to her and said "do not ever contact my relatives regarding me. I beleive this person has left messages at my home but since it is not clear to me who she is, I haven't returned the call. I also told her that I going to send an official complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Her actions are a direct violation of my privacy.
Cindy is still at it! I get calls from her (today), but she wont tell me anything other than her name and that she is with Credit Access Service. When I googled for the name I got this thread in my search. She called me from 970-292-3323. I don't give information to people that are cryptic and obtuse. If she is from some kind of collections company then the LAST way to get money from me is to not be cooperative and to NOT tell me who you are and what you want up front.
I also have had a call from Cindy. She is from Collection Center. I had bills past due and she worked with me. I was having a hard time and she let me make some small payments then I paid it off, She is super nice and very professional. Her knowledge overwhelms me. If I ever get in Collections again I hope I get her. Just saying.
