Spammer - ID showed my town but number came up 300 miles away - I called back and the script was "the reason they called earlier was they recently received info on auto insurance from some carriers and blah blah blah- I hung up before it got to the sales pitch ...annoying new spoofing ruse.
I received a call from 292-6105 and answered it since it appeared in my area. I usually don't answer calls that are from out of state because they are usually bogus telemarketers. The caller did the spiel of auto insurance and wanted to confirm my address and email address. I asked where he got my email and he said it was because I had asked for a quote online. I have never asked for an auto insurance quote online. I have had State Farm Insurance for decades and have been satisfied with my coverage and service. He could not tell me where he got my email so I said good by and hung up.
