Yet ANOTHER number in a WHOLE BANK of (SPOOFED/FAKE) Phone Numbers and FAKE company NAMES All with the SAME SCAM: BOGUS 'Political Survey' (in a LAME attempt to circumnavigate the DNC LAW) to then SWITCH TO an ILLEGAL TELEMARKETING and CREDIT CARD PHISHING SCAM.
CALLER ID said "IND SUR GROUP" but in the past has said "IND SUR GROIP"[sic](!) and "IND SUR GROP"[sic]!
Also have used "POLITICAL OPINIONS OF AMERICA" and POLIT OP AM" and "WASHINGTON" and "OREGON" among others.
DO NOT PICK UP, DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THEM, DO NOT GIVE THEM *ANY* INFO WHATSOEVER.
ALL are SAME SCAM and should be IGNORED. I find that picking up/hanging up immediately (within a split second) on my home phone, and pressing "IGNORE" on my cell BREAKS the CALL and 'confuses' the ROBODIALER enough so that I don't seem to get as many repeat calls from the same (SPOOFED) number. But I *do* get the next call on the newest SPOOFED number of the day -the next day or so.
I also REPORT EACH AND EVERY ONE of these calls/numbers to the DNC List. I believe it helps the feds at least SHUT DOWN the use of the fake number and slows the Effing Telemarketing SCUM down, just a bit.
Unfortunately, these sociopaths keep going because apparently, there are enough people that fall for whatever the're after; you would think they would give up on people who never answer--but they hope that some will weaken, and give them what they want! Soe say these call coe from overseas somewhere far away, very likely. Keep after US FCC, and aybe they will finally do something.
