FYI, I'm no longer answering any calls that come from an Oregon or WA area code. That seems to be where ALL these calls are coming from lately. Some are coming to my home number (on all the DNC lists--state and federal) and a FEW to my mobile (pretty much unlisted--I don't use it of for any businesses, publications, only a few close friends and family even know it) and my googlevoice numbers (I have two). Obviously they are using random auto-dialers.
ATT does not give the option to block on mobile. ATT Uverse allows you to block up to 20 numbers via the website. I use that, the blocking feature on my home phone set, and the blocking feature on google voice on the web.
They are def. a scam trying to disguise themselves as a political survey. I have friends who actually started falling for it and talked to them a time or two until they realized it.
I'd stick that barbed wire through my phone if I could. :)
They keep calling but dont leave a message or anything because i refuse to answer a number I dont know. I thought I had put my phone number on a due not call list but guess not.. will do it now..
