Same heavy east indian accented woman called my wife today. She could hardly understand her, but she asked about our Windows computer.... The big laugh, we have a Mac! They are up to something....
I got the same phone call as the other, a feminin voice saying that my computer was in a big danger. I ask her what does she wants ? She answer she wanted th help me with my computer problem. I might look stupid to her but I asked her to repeat what she had just said. She look a little bit impatient and said Did you understand me ? I answer no sorry. What do you want me to do exactly ? She repeat go to your computer we will fixed it together. Who are you ? (I asked) I'm from Microsoft. It is the first time I heard somebody from Microsoft calling me. She became very impatient and finally I hang up on her. Friday, september 28th 2012..
I have had these calls. Once I told the east indian gentleman that I had a Mac so Windows is not my OS. He hung up. Once I told him he was a spaming scammer and he told me my computer had been hacked and would now blow up. And today it is back to the Automated Goodbye. They get our Canadian phone numbers directly off the Do Not Call Registry which is available for purchase from our telephone industry. Then, as they are not sitting in Canada, and so are not bound by our restrictions, they call the entire list. I have reported them to U.S. FCC sources, but they are probably hands tied as well because the calls probably originate from India or some other place with absolutely no enforcement.
I reseived this call on 10/3 2012, in at about 7:30 am. this call was extremely suspecious, it could be a fraudulent call or call for criminal purposes
These idiots knew my home address. Talked with supervisor who was as rude to me as I was to him. His big insult was calling me a ``Rich American.'' I generally like Americans but prefer to retain my national (Canadian) identity. He said he was going to make me pay for the phone call -- I will be watching my bill. Sent email to Governor of Oregon asking for the state to investigate (had to cheat the email system by putting Oregon in as my state address and using Oregon Zip Code).
