I received a call from a man stating he was from "Cable Services" and calling back about the recent inquiry into internet and cable. Then he asked me if I currently had cable service. I told him yes and he asked who with. I said I'm sorry, who are you with? He said I'm with Cable Services and I said well I've never heard of your company. He said we're a company in Oregon. I just said well we're already taken care of and hung up.
unwanted solicitation for cable and internet service (person was a foreigner and hard to understand). I don't know how they got my number except I recently transfered by cable and internet services with my current provider.
I received a call from this number but did not answer it. When I checked voicemail I had no message - so called it back to see what company it was... there is a professional sounding message saying "you are likely calling this number because you received a call from our marketer. To speak with our customer care line press 1, to submit your number for do hot call press 2 (which I stupidly did the first time I called). a very foreign voice recording I could hardly understand then confirmed "we will not call you again". It got me really suspicious - so I called back to speak with a rep - only to be disconnected each time I pressed 1. So i called back and listened to rest of prompts, which included: Press 3 to leave a vmail for our customer care team, press 4 to report our marketing practices to the regulatory agency that oversees our industry. So I pressed 4 only to have the entire recording repeated each time. Now I am stressed out that I called back and entered my phone number on their do not call list... I wonder if its some scam and I just unknowing agreed to something by entering my phone number?! I was relieved to see some of you comment on the cable thing - because I too have been looking into other providers - so I'm hoping that's all it is.
Received a call at 2:43 today. I was busy with another call. When I tried to call back the same voice message as others reporting here: "Welcome to our Customer Communications Platform" in a very professional, American English female voice. The prompt asks you either "get in contact with a customer service agency (Dial 1).. all I hear is a "beep" and then the communication stops. Who is this? and why are they calling?
