I also got the same call 16 minutes ago from Debbie Anderson(Indian accent) claiming she's from the us department of grants and my name has been selected to receive $8000 and in return,I have to load $300 on a greendot moneypak before the grant money can be transferred.she asked if I was going to do it now and I told her that I don't have that kind of money. How on earth will the gov't give grant and want you to pay an amount before you receive it. SCAMMERS we are not dumb!!!
I received a call from (209) 813-0503 claiming I had been randomly selected to receive a 7000 dollar grant because I paid my taxes on time. I'm 18 and haven't ever filed taxes. They had my information right but refused to give me any solid validation that their operation was legitimate. He got very heated that I kept pressing for more information and transferred me to his supervisor who also lost her temper with me as I refused to give them my banking information and insisted I was given a website that I could verify their claim. She just kept repeating that she worked for the US government, I googled the situation and found pages of websites confirming the initial feeling I had that this was a scam and when I told her I wasn't interested and said goodbye she was immediately apologetic and kinder again. I hung up anyways.
2026667771 called offering $8400 grant. Lol...... Uncle Sam don't give anything away. Wanted bank info, guy really messed up when he said the money could be put on a prepaid card like the Rush Card. Lmao. He did get my old info right though, give him props for that. As an LE Officer don't waste your time with these fools.
