Sorry Slim ol boy but ya really blew this one... an that ain't like your usual savvy self... I know cuz I keep up with them what know what they's generally talking 'bout here 'bouts... and thaz a fact jack... ';)
971-249-0013 is from Consumer Cellular phone co. ranked the highest for customer satisfaction by numerous sources... and for good reason as noted above...
If you are a customer, or have requested they call you back instead of waiting for a CSR to take your call that is one of their outgoing numbers that they return your call with, as they just did for me and since I didn't recognize the number in my email Phone Power Call Notifications I looked it up to be sure... and found this mis-information you posted, hence my response...
FWIW... all cos. have the right to call their customers regardless of their number being on the DNC... you know that...
They DO NOT make phone solicitations unless perhaps you've been recommended by a friend for their 'Referral Bonus' each gets if they choose to try CC... but that's not gonna happen cuz it's all done via email...
Of course, there's always the possibility someone there mis-dialed or someone wanted to harass you by calling them and leaving your number to call back either on purpose or accidentally...
Anyone who wants the best CS, no contract, lowest prices, change your plan right up til 11:59 PM on the last day of your billing cycle to your best advantage cell phone service would do well to check them out... Riddle me any other carrier you can do that with... can't think of one... didn't think so... ';)
Heck... the lady what called me picked a time when I was in the middle of a chat and she was more than willing to hang on for 5-6 mins. until I could finish up... try that with a TM'r...
OCTJMO... ICBW...

PS: And BTW FWIW... Jes cuz I checked the number don't make me a shill... I check purt near ALL the numbers since the CID doesn't always show what I'm expecting which was the case this time... I took the call after hearing who it was over the ans. mach. cuz I wanted to speak with them... all the while chatting on one computer and trying to stay connected with CMS on another, meanwhile warding off the marauding cats, etc, etc, etc... as I didn't recognize the number cuz they don't get everything right, like say associating their name with their number for CID purposes... glad I did cuz they name don't need to be denigrated for having done no wrong...
Please re-read my initial post, particularly points #1 and #2.
Now, care to give us the name and address of that supposed Consumer Cellular reseller?
Y'see, I know that Consumer Cellular is a legitimate company ... but is that one of their legitimate phone numbers?
Sure as hell was legit when they called me from that number earlier... I ASKED them too, CONSUMER CELLULAR CS via their CS 800 no.... didja miss that part... I read #1 and #2 and you're way off base ol buddy... sorry.
FWIW the CID came up with 'Beaverton, OR', which is the area they're located in FWIW... so as I noted they ain't too smart not to associate their name with their call out number for CID purposes but then WAL-MART Pharmacy doesn't either and you see how many threads and posts get generated over their LEGIT robo calls to let you know your prescription is ready... Same thing with Amazon CS... they don't have their name come up when they return ones call PER YOUR REQUEST. Ain't the smartest thing on none of 'um's part but then they don't pay no never mind when I suggest such easy peasy stuff to 'um...
What's the point Slim... face it, ya got this one wrong.... can't you ever be wrong 'bout nutt'n... ';)

PS: I have no interest in CC other than I can't find any better cell phone carrier PERIOD, although due to their ever increasing popularity they're not quite as good as they were because they can't keep up with the volume of new customers...
Now if you were to decide to try them out, be sure to get a present customer to 'refer' you and you'll get NO CALLS, jes an email with a ref code and you'll get $10 off your new account, w/ money back trial if ya ain't satisfied [ albeit's not a lot, it's enough and even if ya had to pay um for one month ya still gonna come out ahead ]... But don't take my word for any of this about their qualifications and advantages... read up on 'um... and yeah you'll find plenty of pissy folks who for whatever reason got their panties all in a wad and got p'od with 'um jes like any decent sized company NO MATTER HOW GOOD THEY ARE... but they sure as hell ain't in the majority... notwithstanding it's the complainers what get the highest Google standings as usual... dig a lil deeper, check out their plans, rates, etc. and then FIND ME A BETTER DEAL PLEASE cuz this OF is on a really meager FIXED income and even saving a few nickels be worthwhile... be forever grateful to ya if ya could, but won't be holding me breath... ';)
Since you refuse to give us the full name & address of the supposed reseller that is associated with that phone number, we really have no reason to believe your unsupported advertisement / testimonial.
Again, Consumer Cellular is a legitimate company ... but you have not proven that number belongs to them, or to one of their resellers. Lurkers should recognize that if they have no business arrangement with Consumer Cellular, ANY call purporting to be from them is a violation of the DNC regulations, and may well not be from the real Consumer Cellular.
