Asked for my wife. "We want to thank her for charity work she did." Put them on hold, found the wife, she answered, they had hung up. This was a new scam for us.
The number on my caller ID and the Medallion name were not familiar to me but I have discovered that if I make the connection on these calls, remain absolutely silent and just leave the line open, they usually do not call back.
