Just received a call from 972-169-5173....instead of a name on Caller ID, V40813433100089 came up on the screen.
Obviously, someone with vile, despicable intent but alas, I didn't get a chance to answer this call before they disconnected...it's unfortunate, because my new best practice regarding these swamp-dwellers is to blow a whistle with gusto into the receiver for a few seconds, hang up, then block the number. I patiently await the next charlatan, whistle in hand.
A new number calling here from the same spammer/scammer dirtbags, GE Security Services. They call every day, and the spoofed phone numbers keep changing. Not only do they violate the No Call list, they need to be licensed in Texas to even solicit or sell security systems here. Obviously, when asked, they could not provide that certification. Scammers. Do not answer.
Caller ID says "name not found" which seems to be common among these harassers !! We have received 2 calls today within 10 minutes of each other. I long for the days before these telemarketers harassed us over and over this way.
I received the same call from GE Security Services claiming my computer sent them a signal of some type. I cut her off and told her where to go....I'll give you a hint. It is very hot year round. Caller ID showed V41216024800068 on one line and 972-169-5173 on another line. It was a live call as I interrupted her several times asking her to repeat what she said to see if it was a recording and it was not. She spoke perfect English but sounded like she was inside a barrel with the lid closed and a clothespin on her nose.
