Yeah. When the Indian Scammers decided to go out on their own they had already torn the pages out of the Play-book that they'd gotten from the "Boys in Buffalo". Those idiots in Erie County are still regretting the day the first of them thought it might be a good idea to "Outsource". If the Indian Scammers hadn't proven to be such a Scourge I'd be laughing hysterically!
Received call from "Unknown" caller ID. Woman says she is "Jennifer Smith from Epstein Tyler & Hughes. I'm calling in regards to a formal complaint & the summons that was faxed over to the office this morning. It would be in your best interest to call back at (972) 200-3940 with your case # xxxxx. At this point, we will consider you officially notified. Look forward to talking to you".
I won't be calling anyone back, as any "outstanding debts" at this point are now beyond the statute of limitations for my state. These people are grasping at straws with this scare tactic. Don't give them any info, & tell them to mail the information along with the original debtor info to you before committing to payment.
They called, said i had to pay or be served. I made a small payment and just realized i may have been duped. Had that card i used for payment cancelled and won't make further payments till i see some paperwork
After I reluctantly agreed to pay them money, I searched online information aboit them. After what I read, I called the police. Explained the situation of the calls to me and my employer. The police informed me that it sounded like a complete scam and not to pay any money to them. I took my money out of my account and reported the card compromised.
The "paperwork" they sent me was full of typos and had no account numbers listed for the supposed "debts". The company name and address could not be found in google. The company also said it was located in NY and the phone number was from Texas.
