Called, my wife answered, some guy with a heavy Indian accent asked for me by my first name and said he had to to talk to me about my computer. When my wife said I wasn't there he kept talking and she hung up. Just another idiotic Indian scam artist.
Caller ID is just the phone number. They leave a very short message, "<tone> Good bye."
I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number). I hear, "The number you have dialed is not in service. Please, check the number, and try your call again. Thank you." The message repeats and then it hangs up.
So we have a spoofed caller ID and the inability to be called back. Smells like a SCAM.
I received a similar call back in May 2016 from 727 498 0504. Same message left and same response to a call back. Others reported that number as the Microsoft Windows Virus SCAM.
Some have reported Indian accents and wanting to talk about your computer with this 972 area code number. I am guessing that the current number is also this SCAM.
