This number at first called my house phone telling me they got an error message from my computer. They said they were Windows Center. They said that I got viruses on my computer that could potentially ruin it and they wanted to debug it or whatever. I told them no that I was already aware of it and that I had ordered a new computer from TigerDirect so don't worry about it. They called another time on my cell phone telling me the same thing. I hung up. Then a woman called and asked for what sounded like my name and I repeated the name to her and she said yes and I said that's not me you have the wrong number and she said whats the last four of your social so that I can be sure I have the wrong number. I said no you don't need that. She said mam this is an attempt to collect a debt of over 2,300. I said I don't have a debt and you have the wrong number and she wanted to remind me that the call was being recorded and that again she needed the last four of my social. I was not having the best day so I screamed at her to stop f-ing calling here. I feel violated in my home by these people. All of them have thick Indian accents. It was the same number for Windows Center and the debt collector.

These are scammers from india. They have very thick Indian accents and it takes a couple of seconds to respond to Hello since they are spoofing U.S. phone numbers. The FTC has won a civil judgement against some of these companies but they can't really prosecute them criminally since they're in India. Lot's of articles on the internet about them. They say they're from a well-known company and they need access to your computer to fix it. Lot's of folks are turning the tables on them pretending to not know who they are and pretending to not know anything about computers thus wasting their time. The stories are pretty amusing. Don't get taken in by them!
I received a call from this number and the man who could barely be understood told me he was responding to error messages from my Windows program. He said he had a process he wanted me to go through. I asked repeatedly what the name of his company was. He kept saying Windlows...I said, then just send me an email about it. He said he needed my information, I told him no. He hung up. I called the number back and left a do not call message and told him I thought this was a scam and I would be calling the police.
The asshats from India or Pakistan are at it again. They called me and told me that my computer was sending them error reports. What they didn't realize was that I'm an Information Technology Architect. I asked them for the errors and they hung up.
If you get a call from these idiots, just hang up.
