We have had the entire 972 area code blocked for over 2 years.
No calls from the 972 area code can make our phones ring!
Please go to Amazon or Costco and purchase a Panasonic phone that blocks full telephone numbers (area code and telephone number) or a blocking device (D*gitone) that can block entire area codes.  We use both the phone and the blocker - they work perfectly together.  The Panasonic blocks our local full numbers and the D*gitone takes care of the distant area codes.  Currently, we have over 160 area codes blocked.
