Same here. I just called it back. It was some heating and air conditioning company. She said she didn't understand why I was being called so much but would remove me from her list. Sounds weird.
Got a call at 10:15 am on 11/24/09 from 972-712-1299. Called them back. Mechanical greeting said to hold for an available agent. After waiting for 15 seconds, got a woman on the phone saying it was there marketing department doing a courtesy call to all home owners offering a checkup on my heating and air-conditioning system. I explained to her that I am on the DNC registry and would be reporting the call. The lady responded that since it was a courtesy call and not a telemarketing call that the DNC didn't apply. Wait till they find out just how much it applies.
These people? auto dial? or whatever continue to call numerous times a day. I never answer. If it was of any importance, they would leave a message. People there are just too stupid to catch on. Keep wasting your time.
