Caller ID read "Out of Area"
Male caller asked for the owner by name. I told him he was out to lunch and asked to take a message and he said no and hung up. I knew right then that it was some sort of sales pitch cold call.
If they want to sell you "Working Interest" which is very often associated with oil and gas rigs, it's NOT a good deal for you. You pay the money, then later they need more money, then later they need more money. All the while they tell you that when it hits you will get big $$$. Thing is, it already hit, they run with the money, move on to some other place, and the EPA comes down on you with fines to "Clean up the environment" where the rig was because you are "one of the owners of said rig".
Working Interest means you are working for their interest.

Just had two one from a female and other from a male calls from 972-235-8468 - Identifying their company as Hills Country Exploration. Asked for my boss. I told the female that we had just had a call from this number and it was a male. I gave her his name and she stated that they did not have anyone by that name working for their company. So when I google the number it comes back as Douglas Scott Securities. So which is it Hill County Exploration or Douglas Scott Securities? Either way they have to get by me to get to him. Not happening.
