Caller ID states Carrollton TX, however telemarketer bleep once you answer, asking for money of police fund. I found the call strange, if a true organization, why not list the correct caller id? Possible scam!
Some of these telemarketers are just on the borderline of being crooks. Nearly all of the money they get from people goes into their pockets or whoever they are working for. They have to put in a certain % to the organization they say they are collecting for in order to be able to get away with what I call is a down and out scam. Like I said, so little goes to the organization they say they are collecting for, it should be against the law for them to do what they do. I think they should have to put all but just what it cost to run their organization. I truly get mad when I ask them if they are a non-profit organization and they get silent for a few seconds and then say "Yes we are". I don't believe them and I tell them I think they are lying and that they are just down and out crooked criminals trying to make easy money instead of getting a real job. They realize they aren't getting crap from me except that I am wasting their time and they usually cuss me out and hang up on me. That is another tell-tell sign that they are scammers for sure. They are blocked!
