The caller ID shows US Govt'. When call is returned, the recording states it is the social security administration; however, the number has been disconnected. I also received a call yesterday from 1-800-772-1213 which also claimed to be from the SS administration. These are scams trying to get you to reveal personal information such as your date of birth and ss#. I figure if you are calling me from the SS office, you should already know my pertinent information.
ID'ed from Mesquite, Texas. I'm currently dealing with the Social Security department but that is in Grand Prairie and the SS office always leave a voice mail. And as a government entity... why would they be calling on a Saturday morning??? This call left NO message. Probably a scam.

1 972 288 9519 is at it again. Please don't answer or call back as they are out to scam and hurt you both financially and emotionally. I received 2 calls from this number this morning. Both went to voicemail. The first regarding the Social Security Administration from Mr. Jones, which was threatening in nature regarding an appointment I was about to miss. He gave me 5 minutes to show up or call him back. One minute later Mathew called regarding a previous non-existent conversation about his business plan. Neither caller had a foreign accent, which can fool you into believing they may not be trying to scam you. Mr. Jones from the SS office knew my name. This particular scam is very disconcerting, as those who actually have benefits will be more likely to call back and attempt to cooperate.
