Called me said "your area has been zoned out for higher energy use." I said "What am I supposed to do go around and turn off everyone's lights? Who are you and what do you want?" She hung up. I've called from my phone and it says call failed. My daughter called from hers and it says it's busy.
Getting numerous calls from this number on our land line for the last few weeks. Very annoying as no one ever answers. Tried to call back and if I call from our land line I get a busy signal. If I call from my cell, it never goes through.
Number is spoofed. I'm in Lewisville, TX. Called it back and it's not a registered number.
Wonder whatever happened to the $500 fine you can collect if they kept calling?
I just got a call from this number. She tried to tell me it was a government program designed to give me $5000 and a free energy audit. She said that my area had been singled out due to higher than average energy usage. I asked if she was aware that I was on both the Texas AND the national "Do Not Call" list and she said she was part of a government program so it didn't apply. When I questioned her further, she revealed that she is not a government employee but is an employee of a call center who was hired to make these phone calls. I hung up and tried to call the number back, but the call never went through after several tries.
