Received a call/voicemail re: a previous aquaintance of mine. She had records of me having history with aquaintance. Was in need of a statement from him, needing his side of the situation... reiterated twice that she was not a debt collector & this was not a marketing call, but was trying to track down my acquaintance. I returned a call to this number and the same individual who left that voicemail for me answered with a greeting stating..."her name, this is a recorded line"... I explained that I received a voice message from her, reiterated the message that I received and the individuals name whom she was requesting info. She researched in an old system for this file, stating that it was no longer in her active files, and then responded that the file had been closed (and gave me the date for which the file had been closed). No longer needed information.
Stephanie from the "dallas office" called and left a VM saying she was looking for my husband and has been unable to reach him. She stated in the message that she isnt a debt collector but wanted to "get (my husbands) side of the story". She never stated who she worked for. I had my husband call her back and turns out she was looking for his dad (my husband is a junior) and they were looking for his truck that he was late on. She makes it sound all scary and official on the message but she is just looking for cars.
I received a phone call from Stephanie Stanley looking for my son and daughter in law. Said she needs to speak to them. She isn't a debt collector. Called on my home phone and my cell.
