Number looked strange as it came up with country code first so (0119723317540 on call display) but I answered it politely and he said "Hello XXXX" (my bosses name). I said, sorry but XXXX wouldn't be in the office today" and he paused and then asked if I was one of the owners. Now I was quite suspicious and said sorry, but I was not and what was this in regards to. He grumpily re-emphasized XXXX so I hung up. If he couldn't figure out the first time that he really wasn't going to get an audience with the boss, pulling attitude wasn't going to get him anything but hung up on. Glad to find out he was nothing more than a jerk cold caller.
Rude, harassing and will not take you off their call list. They just call more often. The first few times we were polite and declined. They are relentless.
This number was blocked by default. If you have to solicit your business, that means you aren't selling your product/service and probably for a good reason. If you try to sell me something, it's because your product sucks.
got a call, no answer which was odd but I also answer the cell in one or two rings so I could have caught the machine off guard. Looking at the other notices and the other telemarketing call pushing loans,.. it is probably a loan as well before rates go up,.. ,
He called and asked for the owner by name and then because the owner wasn't in yet he wanted to speak to the co-owner, she was on the other line at the time, asked him for his name and what the call was in regards to, he said "patrick white with iag" I asked if she would know what the call was in regards to and he said she would know. She had no clue obviously. Told him she wasn't able to break away from the other call and he wanted to leave a voicemail instead of leaving a message with me so I told him he would have to call back to do that and he laughed and said oh no I wont be doing that. I took the notes "patrick white with iag, 9723317528" I again asked him what the call was in regards to and he said they would know, I explained that they would not be giving a call back without knowing what it was in regards to so he laughed and said "pest control" our company being a wildlife control company I explained to him that we don't handle pest control as that is commonly referred to as pests like roaches, ants, etc. and we more worked with raccoons, opossums, etc. and he again laughed and said "no pests are all animals" and I explained again they weren't and he again laughed and said "I didn't call to argue." still laughing he said "have your boss call me" and hung up. Way to start off my Monday morning. I highly dislike rude people.
