So glad you all posted this... I was worried about getting scammed by this person but really wanted to sell my wedding dress too. The number used was 512-253-3682 but I found this site by googling the email address [email protected]. Cutting off the transaction now, thankfully with no damage done. Thank you, internet!

If they don't want to meet in person, examine the merchandise, and then pay in cash for it, walk away.  Every time.  Also, keep in mind to meet in a public place, a lot of police departments are making lobbies or video surveyed parking lots open for these transactions to keep people safe.  Check into it.

I was contacted by someone at the 512 253 3682 number regarding an ad I put on Craigslist for my wedding dress.   Text s name was Jessica...sd they were ok with the price and present condition and they didn't even know the condition...only saw the pics on craigslist of me wearing the dress at my wedding...they wanted me to open an account with paypal and would not make any other method of payment...continued to insist paypal...sd that it is safe and secure for both parties and that they had been using paypal for years and to let them know when I had finished signing up....then told me to get back to them once the payment has been made and cleared with my paypal email and name....I had too many questions that I asked this person that they would not answer so I asked if I could call them and they sd no I am at the base right now and don't have access to a phone...that really put me on guard because when I want to buy something and I don't want anyone else to get it I call...I became a little skeptical so I googled "paypal scams" and I saw this site....someone needs to know about this...cant that number be traced?  I also had another scammer email me today and wanted to mail a certified check coming from her bank...they wanted me to email my name and address for payment and I did...sd they were sending the check usps and then when I cashed it to let them know so they could come and pick it up and then they wanted me to take the ad down from craigslist...I sd I would not take the ad down unless they sent me a tracking number I could verify....I never got a response...now I am concerned because they have my name address!

A scam for Craigslist/PayPal. Request a address for pickup and wants PayPal information.
An offer to meet at a police station safe and cash only does silence them very quickly.
