Why dont you people just call these so called fraudulant companies to find out exactly what they are calling about instead of hiding behind a computer! if you took out a loan then pay it back if you didn't then you have nothing to worry about. Also if you read any contracts these companies do have a right to sue you!!! Just call them and ask for paperwork if they don't send anything then you are right they probably are fraud but if they send you the information you asked for then it is legitament.
Why don't you bother to read what others have posted?! Threatening phone calls, wanting people to wire money - when they haven't even taken a loan out? Per federal law, the debt collector MUST MAIL proof of debt/proof they have the legal right to collect within five days of their first contact with the alleged debtor. No one has a problem with paying a legitimate debt to those who comply with federal law. However, since threatening phone calls, threats to garnish wages, place liens, etc are all illegal, it's likely - reading from the previous posts - that these callers are nothing more than scammers. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!
They called both my home number and cell and left a voice mail stating it was in regards to a county or state matter. When I told them that it was not that persons number they said that they would not remove my info from their system. And then hung up on me. When I proceeded to call them back they hung up on me.
Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.
