I reviewed this call. I get bored some days. It seems that the Cancer Survivors Fund might actually be a 501c3. Their financial statement is online. I looked for the CPAs that prepared the financial statement and they are both university accounting professors and hold current Texas CPAs. That said, in 2015, Cancer Survivors Fund took in $1.2M in donations and spent $1.1M in Fund Raising Expenses. (at least they are honest about they way they do business). They gave out $17,000 in student assistance and $25,000 in medical assistance. Not a very good ratio. They don't seem to be spending it on leadership salaries though.
I received a call from an automated dialer. A person in a boiler room finally came on the line a told me they we collecting donations for breast cancer and wanted me to make a pledge. I said I don't discuss money with people using caller ids blocked or showing "Frisco". They hung up on me. When I called them back the line was answered by a machine and told I would be directed to the next available "agent", no company was identified.
they called from un recognized number so i called it back and the guy said they wanted donations for breast cancer, I told him he must be a scam of sorts because a legit company would use a number that would recongized by called I.d.
This number from a scammer-crook person called back in June of this year. I guess they thought they would get through by calling back a few days later and using the 1 in front of the number, but the call blocker stopped it cold. I have all the numbers I allow to call me on my good call list and any number not on that list, well, too bad, because they will go on my bad call list. This number fits that scenario and was put on the bad call list back in June when the call blocker caught it. They can call all they want but they will never get through. :)
Everyone should invest in a call blocker. Will be one of your best investments ever. A friend told me about the call blocker since I don't do cell phones and still have my home phone. I paid $55.00 plus tax and got a very good blocker. I researched then on the Internet as my friend suggested and found one at a well know website with free shipping if you spend $50.00 or more.
People who keep complaining and don't invest in buying a call blocker to block these same scammers they complain about, I don't feel sorry for them. It took me 6 months to pay my credit card off because I'm not a rich person. So don't tell me you can't afford to buy one. I'm poor and I bought one.
This phone number has called me with the CID showing Frisco, 9723703292, Frisco TX , and 19723703292. Only scammers in my opinion will keep changing the CID name or use their phone number as the CID. I blocked this number but my caller blocking machine has to ring once even when a blocked number comes in, in order to activate it so the blocker can have that split second to check that it is a blocked number. Wish it didn't have to ring even that one time on numbers I've blocked. At least by the hearing it only ring once, I know I can continue on with what I was doing and not have to answer the phone.
