They never leave a message.  I called them back. They say they are a children's cancer charity looking for donations.  Are they exempt from the Do Not Call list?

Charities are exempt from the DNCR. But that does not mean this is a legitimate charity either.

Almost any charity that uses a telemarketer to get funds is receiving the short end of the stick when it comes to money.  Telemarketers that call for charities generally take 90% or more of those funds and put them in their pockets.  We need a law that says they have to put at least 90% into the charities pocket.
