Called once I answered but there was nothing but silence. called a second time after the first call and a machine started talking and i hung up. i called back to see who it was and it was capital one auto finance and told me to input my 7 digit account number or my social (i was like i don't think so). I don't have loan or a car for that matter, so i wouldn't see why they would be calling me.
This is not Capital One. I was able to contact Capital One customer service, and they verified that these numbers in Texas are not affiliated with their organization. They asked me to call the National Fraud Information Center at 1-800-876-7060.
This is CAPITAL ONE AUTO FINANCE in Dallas, Texas. They start calling the first day into your 15 day "grace period" on your auto loan and if you don't answer, their computer redials every 50 minutes from 8 am to 9 pm local time until you answer. Even when you make arrangments to pay before your 15 day "grace period" expires, they will continue to call daily until they receive your payment.
