Scam. Asking for donations for the police to help out with fallen officers in line of duty. Except this scam artist forgets that all police and firefighters get min. of $500,000 from state of Texas when one dies from line of duty, and that police are given the best financial assistance when during crisis.
I answered thinking it was my son calling from his friend's cell and it ended being a call to collect money for police officers that have fallen in the line of duty. Some sort of insurance. I agreed to let him send me information to the house to see where the conversation led. The man sounded very excited and asked me not to hang up as he transferred my call to another line. That is when I here the background of people talking. I don't give my information over the phone to anyone. This day in age, no one should and doesn't. So, I would classify this call a scam.
