Called me twice this evening.  They hang up as soon as the answering machine or I answer the phone.

They are Venture Data at venturedata.com. It's a political survey and they are immune to the laws concerning the DNC. They provide an opt out at http://www.venturedata.com/NoCallList.htm

Even though telemarketers are scum in general, these people seem to have ethics. The call back number on the caller ID did work, and is required by the federal gov. I don't share my opinion with anyone. They want a better way to sell me something or help a party determine what lie works the best. I won't give them data to help them manipulate me.
