A__holes keep calling, leave messages like "Yeah!" then hang up. I answered once and some dude asks if this is (my first name)?
Like, yeah dude, I don't recognize your number OR your voice and I'm going to get friendly with you?!!! NOT!!!
I say 'who is this please?' dude replies 'this is Chris' and nothing else! He asks if I'm (first name)? again and I'm like 'uhm, could you identify yourself please?' The jerk mumbled something inaudible and hangs up. I won't be picking up again and I suggest you don't either!
Definitely some kind of boiler-room operation, as I can hear the buzz and chatter of all these voices in the room in the background. It's like the cacophony of the grackles at 6:00 pm in a major city!

How the hell ANYONE could work in such an environment is BEYOND ME!! I feel sorry for the poor slobs who have to do this for a living! Geesh!
In any case, the calls come in at various hours a couple times per day over the last couple weeks, and will either leave nothing but dead air or will ask for my full name on the answering device and pause before finally hanging up. Can't even pronounce my name correctly, and it's a different voice each time, sometimes male, other times female. Probably working off some sort of script, but they can kiss my you-know-what! I DO NOT ANSWER THESE UNSOLICITED TYPE OF CALLS EVER!!
DO NOT EVER GIVE OUT EVEN PART OF YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER TO ANYONE WHO CALLS YOU BY TELEPHONE, EVEN IF THEY DO IDENTIFY THEMSELVES!! This may even be a spoofed number? I sure wish someone could find out who the hell these MORONS are so they could be reported!!
